• To open the SCIMS tool, click on the shopping cart icon on the toolbar.

  • The SCIMS tool allows you to find survey control marks on the map.

  • Navigate the map to the area of interest, then search for survey marks using one of the following tools:

  • Load Marks
    • Allows user to enter single or multiple survey marks.
    • Multiple marks should be separated by a comma with no spaces. For example:
    • PM1,TS123,SS105

    Search by rectangle
    • Click and drag the mouse to draw a rectangle on the map.

    Search by polygon
    • Click on the map to start drawing, and click again to draw a shape
    • Double-click to finish drawing.

    Search by buffer
    • Enter the buffer distance (e.g. 250 metres).
    • Click on the map - a circle will be draw with the specified radius.

  • Survey marks within the selected area will be shown in the grid:

  • Click on the Mark name for further information about the survey control mark.

  • Using the checkboxes, choose to order mark coordinates (C), sketch (S) or details (D) for any particular mark, and choose Add To Cart:


  • Follow the prompts to complete the purchase of the survey marks, using your SIX login.
